{Family Portraits: Balsam Family}

The same weekend I was in Chicago, I got to photograph this lovely, adorable family of four. Their two little ones were so brave and took on the cold with no complaints!

He is definitely one sweet and caring big brother.

{Family Portraits: Knupp Family}

A couple weeks ago, I was privileged to be able to take family portraits for a few different families. We have some good family friends living in Chicago, and I have taken their family portraits for a few years now. I contacted them about coming again this year, and they helped get some other families together. I had such an awesome time meeting these beautiful families, and they all blessed me so much! 

I first met the Knupp family on Saturday morning. Now, I'm very directionally challenged so being in downtown Chicago, by myself, going somewhere I'd never been before, was kiiiinda scary. ;) Thankfully, I made it there just fine and met the family right outside a cafe. It was a quick photo shoot, being that it was only about 40 degrees or so (and because the place I was parked only allowed for me to park there for 30 mins!), but everything went very smoothly, the girls were troopers, and we got some beautiful portraits out of it. :)

{Anderson Family}

A couple months ago, I got to take pictures for this cute family. :) I hadn't seen them in soooo long, and the last time I saw them, the twins were only one! They were so cute and we had fun running and playing in the park. :)

{Baby Olivia}

My newest little sister is here!! :) Olivia is such an adorable bundle of cuteness, and we love here soooo much!

My Amazingly Awesome Wonderful Family

So, I thought it'd be a good idea for me to introduce you to my family. They're a huge blessing in my life and how could I not talk about them? :) So, without further ado, here's my family!!

I took this last fall, and seriously, this took 15 minutes to set up!! Since they're my brothers and sisters, these kids think they can goof off and not listen to me. But, I'd say it turned out pretty well after all. :)

Yep, we're one of those really big families, but you know it's not as crazy as you'd think.   Yes, there are those times where you wish you had some peace and quiet, but most of the time it is a blast having that many family members. There's never a dull moment!

I'm sure you'll see more pictures of them in the future because they are great models.

Aaaannd, we're going to have a new family member in a few weeks!! :)

Yep you heard (read) right! It's gonna be another little girl, and you can be sure that there will be plenty of pictures of her on here!

Well, that's all for now, and sorry for such a lack of posting! School, work, and well, LIFE has taken me up in a whirlwind, and my business has been a bit on hold. {Vogt Family}

So, I know it's been a while, but I'm FINALLY getting this post up!!
This family has been SUCH a blessing in my life. I lived with them for four months in Uganda and had a wonderful time! They are such a godly examle to all they come into contact with, and you can just see the joy of the Lord in their family. After being with them for four months, I went back home to my family while they traveled the U.S and visited different churches and friends. They came to visit in August, and then the kids came and stayed for a couple days while mom and dad got away. When they came to pick up the kiddos, we did some family pictures. I couldn't have asked for better weather, lighting, and people. =D The kids were extremely cooperative and I think the pictures turned out pretty good...what d o you think?! ;) So...now to see the pictures!! =)

Isn't this one hilarious?! I love how Naomi has her eyes covered, Jonathan is totally in his own little world, and David's lookin' back at Mommy and Daddy. <3

 I love this one...even though they're not really looking at the camera, I still love it. :) Haha, Jonathan's still in his own little world. ;-) (He was eating the leaves...I don't know how they taste, but I'm not sure I'd like to know from some of the faces he was making. ;)

 Chris and Rebecca, thanks again SO much for the godly example that you not only showed me, but all others you are around, and I am going to miss you all so much when you go back home. Thanks for everything!!! God bless you in these next few years as you raise your kids to love and serve the Lord!

{Sneak Peek: Family}

I love this family so much! Here's a sneak peek of their family portrait session from the other night! The kids did an amazing job and I LOVE how the pictures turned out!! They're such a beautiful family!! And to make things even better, the lighting was a.m.a.z.i.n.g as well!!! :D

There are more to come soon!! I have been sooooooo busy so please forgive the lack of posting! I am also doing a photography mentorship with the amazing Christina Dickson, and so my photography business is somewhat on hold...although, I still am scheduling portrait sessions. I had a few family portrait sessions about two weeks ago, I just had a wedding this past weekend (so stay tuned for that!!!), and I have a senior shoot this next weekend! :D
