Cassie & Graham: Engagement

It all started at band practice…

As he walked in, Graham noticed her right away. A super cute blonde sitting at the end of the row. When practice was over, he was determined to find out who she was so he asked the girl who sat next to this cute girl. She said, “I think her name is Cassie.” From then on he was smitten. 

Cassie began to notice him more during the next summer at band camp. She was a little wary of him at first, but that didn't last for very long. ;) During the next few summers, they spent almost all of their free time talking together at band camp.

A couple years later, her family was looking for a church when Cassie mentioned “Hey, I know of this really great church!” They decided to check it out, and lo and behold one of the first people she saw was Graham. What a coincidence! ;) 

For the next few years they both still liked each other, but never said anything about it to the other. Cassie and I met about 3-4 years ago, and it wasn't too long before I heard about this “boy”.

Life went by and they went their separate ways, but last summer things started to change. Graham began dropping by regularly to hang out with Cassie, but just as friends…

In November of this past year (7 years later) Graham asked Cassie if she wanted to try out a relationship and see what happened. Welllll, about 4 months later he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him, and, of course, she said YES! :)

I’m so excited for the two of them, and can’t wait for their wedding in August!!

{Family Portraits: Balsam Family}

The same weekend I was in Chicago, I got to photograph this lovely, adorable family of four. Their two little ones were so brave and took on the cold with no complaints!

A couple months ago, I got to take pictures for this cute family. :) I hadn't seen them in soooo long, and the last time I saw them, the twins were only one! They were so cute and we had fun running and playing in the park. :)

My friend Michelle emailed me about 10 months ago asking if I was available for a photography job. I told her that I was, and asked what for. She said that she was getting married, and wanted me to shoot her wedding. I was excited, and over the next couple months we kept in touch. In May, I was able to take their engagement pictures, and had tons of fun! They are getting married on Saturday, and I can't wait to shoot their wedding!

They are such a laid back couple, willing for whatever, and were naturals at being in front of the camera. :)

{Baby Olivia}

My newest little sister is here!! :) Olivia is such an adorable bundle of cuteness, and we love here soooo much!
