Aelsa || Senior Portraits

There's this beautifully gorgeous friend of mine who just graduated high school this year, and I was so excited to be able to take some portraits of her last fall. She also happens to be a very excellent and talented musician so of course we had to incorporate her instrument!

Mhm, I told you she was gorgeous!

She told me about this national park and since it's only an hour away, we of couuuurrrrse took the opportunity! There was this amazing bridge and then below was an extremely steep rocky slope with a pretty little waterfall.

Isn't this epic???

Which one should I choose?

Then we climbed down and explored underneath the bridge and beyond. It was so beautiful and the fall colors really gave an extra flair of beauty.

She's also a very thoughtful friend. This past school year was crazy busy for the both of us, but  she's such an encourager and sent me sweet little notes here and there. Oh, and if you ever need a violin teacher, she's your lady... my little sister takes from her and from what I've observed, she's such a patient and fun teacher. So if you live near here and you feel like taking up the violin, do iiiiiiit...or if you know of someone who needs a teacher, tell them about her! :)

Thanks, Aelsa, for allowing me the privilege of taking your senior portraits. This is a big time of transition in your life and I'm excited to see what lies ahead for you. You have been and will continue to do really great things and I know the Lord is already using you in many powerful ways for His kingdom.

Baby Ava || Portraits

This darling baby girl was born to one of my very dear friend and her husband back in March, and I am finally getting them up! *insert monkey-hiding-its-face emoji*

That weekend I was in the area and it worked out perfectly to go spend some good quality time with my Marie friend, and of course take some portraits of their brand new, stinkin' adorable little Ava!

I love how she's looking up at her mama in this one. ^  oh, so sweet.

oh, and she has the best. expressions. ever!

sleeping babies are one of the most precious sights in the whole entire world.

"happy is the home with little feet"
look at those little fingers and toes! gahh!

streeeeetch...

ohhhh, biiiiig yawn!

Her faces...what did I tell ya?! Also, I was curious to know what the name Ava actually meant, so I went and looked it up. One of the meanings was "life". What an awesome meaning, and I'm pretty sure Ava definitely brings life everywhere she goes. :)

Marie and Adam, I can't get over how cute your little girl is! It was so fun to spend an hour or so capturing your sweet little Ava! I can't wait to watch her develop into who God made her to be. :)
